"This will encourage investment, expand employment and make Canada more competitive in the world economy. The industry also welcomes the government's continued efforts to pay down Canada's debt," he added.
Operating since 1894, the Canadian Life and Health Insurance Association represents companies that together account for over 99 per cent of Canada's life and health insurance business.
